Getting Started

Equipment

The equipment components are simple to use and install. Included in your
shipment should be the following:

1. Mobile Laser terminal with integrated laser scanner, keypad, and display
2. Battery for the terminal
3. Charger for the terminal
4. Installation CD (BCT_RECV software, for receiving the files)
5. Serial port cable with adapter for terminal to PC

PC System Setup

Insert the installation CD in your PC CD ROM drive. Click on your browse
window under the START button in Windows, and browse the CD drive untill
you find the INSTALL.BAT icon.

Click on the INSTALL.BAT and the BCT_RECV.EXE program will be copied
to your C:\ drive, and will be placed in a new directory called BCT.

If you are using Windows 2000 or other systems that do not have the standard
windows desktop setup, or you do not want the files placed into the C:\BCT
directory, you can simply copy the BCT_RECV.EXE file off the CD ROM and
place it anywhere you like, and create your own shortcut to the program.

Install the serial cable on your COM1 port. If you must use COM2, you will
have to hit 'C' on each download session, to change to the COM2 port.
